Knot & Nectar’s entire skincare ritual is crafted without added water — just pure botanical oils, butters, and extracts chosen for potency and purpose. Unlike traditional skincare (often 70–90% water), our products are 100% active nourishment designed to melt effortlessly into the warmth of your skin.

A waterless ritual feels different at first: richer, more concentrated, and deeply comforting. Because there are no fillers, your skin receives exactly what it needs — and in far smaller amounts than you may be used to. Start with less, let it melt, and build only if your skin asks for more.

Because our formulas are concentrated, they behave differently:

• Start with a very small amount (a pea-size of moisturizer is usually enough). 
•  Allow your moisturizer or concentrate to warm between your fingers before applying — this helps the butters soften, improves absorption, and creates that velvety, breathable finish Knot & Nectar is known for. 
• Apply to lightly damp skin. This hydration usually comes from removing the oil cleanser with a warm, damp cloth or patting the skin with our botanical mist.
• Let each product melt with your skin’s warmth, allowing the botanicals to sink in.
• Let your skin guide you. Add more only if needed; most customers find they use far less than in traditional routines. 
• Expect a velvety, breathable finish. Our butters and oils are designed to support your skin barrier and leave a soft, natural glow.
